Quick update!

We have been SO super busy this summer!
I can not believe that it is already the 8th of July.
Colby's birthday is just around the corner and he will be 7!!
The kids just started taking swim lessons, they love it!
The kids are starting to tire me out, I just can not keep up.
They are going in two different directions at all times.
We spend most of our days outside in the backyard or at the
local swimming pool. We went to Wal*Mart yesterday and
I see that they have the back to school supplies out already!
The first half of summer has just flown by!
I am going to try and update the blog with some photos soon!

A few questions and a new LO

I found this on Amy Martin's blog and thought it would be fun to fill out.
so, if you read this, consider yourself tagged and please link back! would love to read about you!

1. Would you forgive your best friend for sleeping with your husband/wife? I would find that one really, really hard to forgive.
2. Where were you last week? Outside soaking up some sun!
3. Have you ever seen a live bat? Yes. There was a bat in my Grandparents house once.
4. Do you like Big Macs? I do
5. Are you single? No
6. Do you like the color orange? I guess, whats not to like about it?
7. Do you find it in your heart to forgive? Yes. I can forgive, but I can't forget
8. Would you rather not eat or not sleep? not eat, I love, love love to sleep!
9. Have you ever seen a real redneck? Oh, yeah!
10. Do you like tattoos and piercings? I do not have a problem with them, I just don't have anything other than my ears pierced.
11. Where was the last place you got your hair cut? Capri College.
12. Do you care if people talk smack about you? It doesn't really bother me, let people say what they want.
13. How long do you use the phone daily? I am on the phone constantly!
14. Do you like snakes? Ah, that would be a No

I also found this template on Amy's blog. I downloaded it on NSD, but just got around to making a LO with it. Thanks for the wonderful template!

My boy WON!!

So, I pick up Colby on Wednesday and his teacher brings him to the car. I am sitting there thinking (oh boy, it must have been a bad day at school), but when she is helping him into the car she tells me that Colby has some exciting news. I immediately start looking at his mouth thinking that he lost a tooth. They were both extremely excited so, Colby and his teacher are going back and fourth,"you tell her, no you tell her." Finally his teacher says "today we had our drawing for perfect attendance for 1st semester and Colby won a bike!" I was shocked! My son's name was picked out of 500+ students and he is the winner! I am so happy for him! He is just as happy as can be and can not wait to get his new bike! Yesterday was Colby's half birthday. He is now 6 1/2 years old! I just have a hard time believing that he is not my little baby boy anymore. He really is growing up.

Here is the LO I made:

Learning new things

I have just discovered styles in photoshop. I know, everyone has been using them FOREVER, but I just learned how to do it!! Pretty cool!
Now on the home front! I am the head room Mother for my son's kindergarten class. Now that has been very rewarding! The kids are great and I love his teacher! She is so nice and the kids just adore her. We are planning the 100th day of School party. Tentatively scheduled for February 5th. You never know what could go wrong and the weather could go bad quick here. So if there are no more snow days it will be February 5th. We are going to have all sorts of fun and games for that day. With this being the Kindergarten class this is their first 100 days of school EVER! So we are going to have a blast celebrating!!

Oh, where do I start??

I haven't kept up with this blog once again. Here is just a quick update on my life as I live it day to day. I am hopeful that 2008 will bring change and happiness to my family.
2007 was a very tough year. One that I would not like to repeat, EVER!! I lost a Nephew the last day of August, he was only 20 years old. My husband and I have had some troubles, but we seem to be back on track now. My Mother has a been a handful. I love that woman dearly, but she needs to stay on her meds. My Grandmother's health is rapidly failing, at the age of 92, I am afraid that her heart is not going to make it much longer. There were times this year that I just didn't know how much more I could take. It just seemed to be one thing after another.
On a much more positive note. The kids are healthy and happy as ever. Jenna just amazes me everyday with all she is learning. She is a VERY active 3 year old. Colby continues to do well in Kindergarten.
That is about all for now.

I'm soooo bad . .

It has been sooo long since I've posted. I know, I know. Bad, bad blogger! I have been so busy lately. Lots of things have changed in my life. Colby is now in Kindergarten. I can hardly believe that he is old enough for SCHOOL! He was so brave for his first day. It was raining just a bit, so they had all the kids wait in the gym to line up. He was super excited and ready to learn!! Jenna had a hard time. She cried and cried saying she wanted Colby. I felt bad for her, but I wanted to cry too. My oldest was going to be at School all day without me! Everyone ended up having a great day, and Colby just loves School.

Summer's almost here

It's warm and sunny today!! It really feels like summer is here to stay now. Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. Of course I don't want it to be 100 degrees or anything like that, but just to be outside enjoying the day.

Yesterday the kids, My Mom and I went to the Zoo. The kids had so much fun. I am now letting Jenna run free at the Zoo. No stroller needed for her there. She just loves to look at all the animals. The petting zoo is definitely her favorite. Now, Colby like the SNAKES!! Yikes!! I hope he never wants to have one as a pet.

Our Three Legged Dog

Our Sadie girl!!
Poor thing!!
She lost her leg after a long battle with trying to get it fixed. In May of 2006 while in the backyard for some free time, she hurt her leg some how. We don't know what happened or how. All we know is when we returned from our 30 minute walk with the kids she was limping pretty bad. So we loaded up the family and took her to the Vet. That was the begining of 8 surgeries the last one resulted in the amputation of her right hind leg. She had a ruptured cruciate ligament, which is the most common knee injury for a dog. After several unsuccessful surgeries the arthritis set in, it was so far into the bone that our vet was not able to save the leg.

It's a new year....maybe I will blog

Well considering I only had 4 blog posts ever I doubt that I will keep this up in the new year, but I am going to give it a shot!!

Today we have had around 3" of snow. It's freakin' cold outside!! Around 15 degrees!! But, this is Iowa so what do you expect?!?

I have tried to update the blog and give it a face lift today, not sure if I achieved what I really wanted. It does look a little better.

We will have to see what tomorrow brings and see if I can continue to blog. I also need to add a few of my newest LO's

Sunday...I'm gonna be lazy!

Yeah, I'm gonna be lazy today. Not doing much except sitting here and scrappin'. I might stalk some blogs and surf some scrap sites for some freebies. Read the paper, watch some T.V. and hang out with the family. I haven't done much scrappin' lately, lots of looking and thinking but not much action of my own.
