Hi Everyone, Wonder Girl Laura here… we have some new changes for Sunshine Wonder Week!
We are going to have less challenges during the actual Sunshine Wonder Week.

We want you to have fun, not stress about getting all the challenges done, LOL!!!
We are still going to have the kit made by the Wonder Girls but the fun will last all month with that kit!
Here are all the details:

Please join the Wonder Girls each week of this month to gather our version of Sweet Afternoon! It is based on the amazing Sweet Afternoon kit by the Sunshine Studio Designers, of course!
Here is how it works:

• Each week we will give away 1/4 of the Wonder Girl Sweet Afternoon kit.
• You scrap a layout. Our one condition is that at least 50% of your layout must be from the Wonder Girl Sweet Afternoon kit.
• Upload your layout to this gallery and link us up here in this thread. Doing this makes sure we don’t miss anyone!
• After each week ends the Wonder Girls will vote on the best LO for the week and the winner gets a $5 gift certificate to the store!
• At the end of the 4th week, a monthly winner will be chosen to receive a $25 gift certificate to the store, and you don’t have to be a weekly winner to qualify!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I had a great weekend, I enjoyed paper scrapping, yes paper. I am Bi -Scrapual! We had a full day of scrapping, tweleve hours to be exact! It was a ScrapPink event held at a local Scrapbook store and I went with my Digi designer friend Jennifer Schmitt.

I wanted to add a photo of my favorite gifts that I recieved at the event.

Ramblings, Product previews and annoucements

I joined my very first speed scrap at Sunshine Studio Scraps. It was fun and challenging. I have now decided that I am not a speedy scrapper to say the least.

We were instructed to choose 3 square or rectangular photos of something "ordinary" in your everyday life. She asked us to creatively crop each one, to bring out the "extraordinary".

We then had to choose a minimum of 5 papers - one for your background and the others you can use as you'd like. 3 of them have to be solid and 2 have to be patterned. 1 of your solids has to be orange. Then add frames to all three of the photos and cluster them in a corner

Elements were added next, in the form of foliage. After that we added a page border. When it came time to adde the journaling my eyes teared up, as the pictures that I chose were from a recent trip to Newton, IA. We were asked to explain what makes your photos extraordinary. We went to visit family that lives at my Grandfathers old farm. My Grandfather has been gone from us for 5 years now, but it still hits home to me. I miss him so much and wish that he could see my children and tell them the sames stories that he used to tell me. He was a good ol boy. A farmer. A Father, Son, Husband, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Here is my page! Click for credits.
